About EISEN
For over 33 years, EISEN has been a fixture of Bremen nightlife. Located right at the legendary Sielwall crossing on the border of the Viertel and Ostertor districts, this is where the heart of the Viertel beats. What began in 1992 has grown over three decades into a place where corner-pub culture is still taken seriously. You can find a list of the bands who have shaped this culture in our Hall of Fame.
Punk rock, football & passion
EISEN is more than just a bar. We're your living room for live music in Bremen. We bring national and international bands from punk rock, indie and alternative straight into our pub – up close, sweaty and unfiltered.
Fairness matters to us: we don't use a fixed ticketing system. Instead, as always, we ask for a fair donation at the door to cover the costs for musicians and the venue.

Besides live concerts, EISEN is notorious for its unique event formats that you'll only find with us:
- TAKE IT OR BREAK IT!: Our legendary vinyl auction & quiz show. Treasures (and curiosities) go under the hammer here – thrills and good vibes guaranteed.
- ECKKNEIPENDISCO!: When the bar counter turns into a dance floor. We play the best mix of punk, indie and alternative – loud, honest and without airs.
- ELECTRO BINGO: Forget everything you know about bingo. Here, high energy meets game-night fun – an absolute must in the Viertel.
- KARAOKE AT EISEN: From punk anthems to schlager earworms – every now and then we turn our stage into a karaoke bar in the middle of Bremen.
For all Werder fans, we're also the Werder fan pub at the Sielwall. We show every Werder Bremen match live (men's and women's teams) in real stadium atmosphere.

We'll pour you a fresh Haake Beck on tap or our own smooth Viertel Bier. And for the brave, there's no way around the Bremen legend: the Bremen baptism "Krabbeldiewandenuff".

What’s the deal with the EISEN initiation?
The EISEN initiation is a real institution here. Our legendary shot, the “Krabbeldiewandenuff,” plays the leading role—a strong drink that ensures flushed faces and new EISEN family members at every initiation. You’ll find it on our drinks menu.
Do you open earlier on game days?
Yes, on Werder match days or Bundesliga match days, we open as early as 2:00 / 3:00 p.m. We broadcast all games live and at full volume.
Is the EISEN one of the last real punk bars?
We’re proud of that—and our guests agree. The EISEN is one of the last real punk bars in Bremen, which has stood for subculture, live music, and soccer without compromise for over 33 years.
